About The Mundus Collection 2016

What started off as a journalism class assignment, eventually turned into a series of analytical features covering stories from around the world.

The Mundus Collection 2016 is a unique set of articles exploring stories of the East, the West, and the wider world. The writers of these stories, who are studying the Erasmus Mundus programme in Journalism, Media and Globalisation, belong to many different nationalities and cultural identities, which make their perspectives both interesting and intriguing.

The articles published on this website were initially written as part of the final assignment for a module titled 'Analytical Journalism', taught at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Each piece has been thoroughly researched, and meta reports were produced to ensure the stories had an alternative frame that looked at the topic from a different point of view to the mainstream media.

The writers have identified, explored and covered a wide range of topics from different continents, in the hope that they are able to start a discourse around topics that are important and relevant.

We hope that the stories help you to learn something new, or build your knowledge on what you already knew.
